  • 9% of teens in a recent study reported using prescription pain relievers not prescribed for them in the past year, and 5% (1 in 20) reported doing so in the past month.3
  • Fewer than one out of ten North Carolinian's who use illegal drugs, and only one of 20 with alcohol problems, get state funded help, and the treatment they do receive is out of date and inadequate.
