I've been to A Forever Recovery twice. The first time was 5 years ago and the second was 10 months ago. Both time were immensely helpful. I had gone to a lot of rehabs before going to AFR and I was never able to stay clean for very long after each program. It was hard for me and became harder and harder the more rehabs I went to. By the time I went to AFR 5 years ago I wasn't all that hopeful that I'd be able to find anything that worked for me. I wanted to be clean and sober but wasn't all that

Going to A Forever Recovery was a great experience. I've only been to one other rehab other than AFR but the difference in the 2 was substantial. What made the biggest difference to me was the different programs available there and the fact that everyone goes through his or her program at their own pace. It doesn't matter if you need 30 days 60 days or a year. You don't move on to the next step in your program until you are absolutely ready. I never felt rushed or moved through the program befor

My daughter completed her program at A Forever Recovery 6 months ago. Going to AFR was the best thing for my daughter and it changed her life. She started smoking weed when she was 16. At the time I didn't think much of it. I had smoked weed when I was younger. So had my husband and for us it was just something we grew out of. We figured it would be the same for her. It wasn't though and she started using harder drugs until she found heroin which became her drug of choice. When her dad and I fig

I'm really happy with the way A Forever Recovery went about helping my son with his addiction to heroin and crack. He had been using for many years and for just as many years we've tried to help him. We never could get him to accept any help. He would either flat out refuse to go to treatment or if he did agree to go or was court ordered to go he didn't do anything while he was in those rehabs to help himself. He just waited out his time there until he could leave and start using again. What fin

A Forever Recovery is an amazing place to go if you need help with a drug or alcohol addiction. The facility is setup really well. The property the facility is on is super pretty with lots of wide open space and it's in a pretty remote location. There aren't going to be any outside distractions while you're there. AFR doesn't feel like a rehab. It's not all white and sterile. Instead it's comfortable. The building's an old lodge or something and it has that feel to it. It's a comfortable place t

When I went to AFR I didn't have a drug habit. I had no drug of choice. Nothing like that. My parents had found some meth in a bag of mine and that was it. They decided I needed rehab and nothing I said would dissuade them of that. It's a bit embarrassing. Going to rehab without an actual drug habit. For the couple months prior to me going to AFR I had used maybe once or twice a week if that. I had to spend a day in detox. Not because I was detoxing. I hadn't used anything in over a week. Everyo

My addiction to prescription medication started pretty slowly. I spent over a year taking Vicodin exactly as it was prescribed before I started using too much. I've had bad headaches most of my life and for most of my life I've just dealt with them as best as I could. Never taking anything stronger than an Advil when I had one. About 5 years I was with my sister when I had a headache come on. She offered me a Vicodin and I took it. It helped too. More than I thought it would. For the first time

Our daughter needed help with an addiction to methamphetamine and we sent her to A Forever Recovery. When she relapsed 8 months ago we sent her back there. She went back there because we knew how much going there had helped her the first time and we trusted them to help her again. Her addiction to meth started when she was in college. She was falling behind in a couple classes and her roommate gave her an Adderall to help her study. From there she started taking it whenever she needed to catch u

My son was addicted to heroin for 3 years before going to A Forever Recovery. He got started using heroin because the girl that he had started seeing was using and gave him some. When they first started dating she hadn't developed a habit but she was using sometimes and about a month after they got together she wanted to use and got him to use with her. I want to blame her for my son's addiction and to a degree I do. If he'd never met her there's a chance he'd never have been exposed to heroin a

My parents and I chose A Forever Recovery because they offer the SMART Recovery program there. They do offer other programs but the SMART program was the only one I was interested in doing because it seemed to be the only program that I hadn't done before. My parents and I were all hoping that doing the SMART program would help me more than any of the other programs I've done in my life. Which is did. I really liked it at AFR. I enjoyed doing my program there. The facility was clean and comforta

My brother started using cocaine around 10 years ago. For the first 7 years of his addiction he would binge. He would use only over a weekend or if he had time off work for a week or so he'd go on a bender. Because of the way he was using it wasn't hard for him to make people believe he didn't have a problem. He worked. Never had a problem keeping his job. He had his own home. Paid all his bills on time. And because of all this our parents didn't understand that he really was an addict and that

I'd been using heroin for 9 years when my dad had his heart attack 5 years ago. Which is when I started caring about myself again and wanting to get sober. When I went to visit my dad in the hospital after his surgery he begged me to get help. He told me that he didn't want me dying before he did and he didn't want to die without knowing that I was sober and would be okay. I went to A Forever Recovery and going there was really helpful. After completing my program I was able to stay sober for 6

My parents talked me into going to A Forever Recovery 8 months ago. Actually they basically pestered and bulldozed me into going to A Forever Recovery but going there was the best thing I've ever done for my recovery so I'm extremely grateful they didn't give up and pestered me till I went. I've gone to my parents many times over the years when I wanted to get sober. I've been trying to get sober ever since I started using and it's been pretty rough for all of us. In the beginning of my addictio

When I sent my daughter to A Forever Recovery I was hoping that it was as good as a rehab as the reviews I'd read made it sound. I prayed that they would be able to help my daughter change her life in a positive way. My daughter started using heroin 10 years ago. When she first started using heroin things got bad so much faster than I could have ever anticipated. It takes almost no time at all to become addicted to opiates and I found that out firsthand with my daughter. For these last 10 years

This program helped me so much. I can't even imagine how much worse my life would have gotten if I hadn't gotten help when I did. I'm so grateful for the help of the staff at A Forever Recovery. They did so much to make my time there nice as well as productive.

I posted a review a second ago but didn't finish writing it before I hit post. Going to A Forever Recovery has been the most beneficial experience of my life. I started using drugs when I was 19. I started with pain pills and graduated to heroin and then I was taking pain pills heroin and Xanax and if I couldn't find any of those I'd take whatever I could get my hands on. When I was 23 my parents convinced me to get help. I went to a rehab that they'd chosen and while there I was given Suboxone

I was ready to start a new life when I went to A Forever Recovery. I wanted more than anything to stop doing drugs and all the other things I was doing that were harmful to myself and others. I was this weird mix of hopeful yet jaded when I got to AFR. I wanted to get clean more than anything but I wasn't convinced it was something I could do. Just the fact that I wanted to get clean helped me at AFR though. I was more receptive to the program I was doing and more willing to do the work on mysel
